1. If u using a multimeter it needs to be set to 500v AC. One prod on MCB, the other on earth. You could use your test screwdriver. Try it one of the working MCBs first to check it works. Then try the suspect one. If u not familiar with the insides of a CU, turn off the main switch before u remove the cover! 2. Tick 3. Your electrician can advise.
Here is how i replaced my friends circuit breaker. 12 of her electric outlets didnt have power. We checked the circuit box and one circuit breaker was damage
Figure 3. After the panel was removed, the A phase bus showed signs of severe overheating at the point where it connects to the main circuit breaker—revealing a previous problem with the A phase that was corrected before the new inquiry. A phase: 50.4 millivolts. B phase: 48.8 millivolts. C phase: 41.4 millivolts.
If you are dealing with a multiwire circuit and accidentally break the neutral while not switching off all the other wires in the circuit, you will change the voltage between loads on the remaining wires of the circuit. In the USA, many equipment manufacturers make 1-pole and 2-pole breakers with a switched neutral (wire in and wire out) included.
A circuit breaker is a safety device that shuts off when there's a current surge. Two-pole breakers control circuits for large appliances. A two-pole breaker consists of two breakers. Each one connects to one of the hot bus bars in the panel, which makes the voltage of the circuit 240 volts.
Set the breaker reset lever on the new breaker to the OFF position before installing it. Attach the black circuit wire to the new circuit breaker by inserting the bare end of the wire under the screw terminal on the breaker and tightening the screw. On some breakers, this terminal may be labeled LOAD or LOAD POWER.

RCCB : Residual Current Circuit breaker. ACB : Air Circuit Breaker. VCB : Vaccum Circuit Breaker. Construction of a LED bulb/lamp. A RCBO consumer unit stands for ā€˜residual current breaker with over-current’, and it combines the functionality of a MCB (miniature circuit breaker) and RCD/RCCB (residual current device/residual current circuit breaker) into one unit. A RCBO will trip the entire circuit whenever there is a current leakage, and the device protects against
An electrical short in the AC compressor could be the reason for the AC unit tripping the breaker. Loose power wirings. As weather changes, wires may contract and expand accordingly. This may cause the power connections or wirings within your AC to loosen up and lead to a short circuit. Another mechanical issue.
